Bajrang Dal member and Cow vigilante Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar has been detained by the Haryana Police for posting objectionable content on social media with a fake identity.
According to the sources, “Haryana Police was scanning social media after violence took place in Nuh on 31 July. In one such instance, a person was found posting a series of objectionable content on social media. Tracing such posts, police conducted raids at several places and apprehended a person. He was found to be Monu Manesar who was posting objectionable uploads with a fictitious identity.”
Further investigation is on in the case. The decision to hand over Monu Manesar in Junaid and his cousin’s murder case being probed by the Rajasthan police will depend on the courts.

Monu Manesar is named as the accused along with 21 others in the FIR of the double murder case. The charred bodies of two cousins Junaid and Nasir who hailed from a village in Rajasthan were found in Haryana’s Bhiwani on February 16.
His name cropped up in Nuh violence after his post emerged vowing to take part in the Brajmandal Yatra being conducted by the VHP- seen as inciting the Muslim side.
Besides, he was named in a case related to Nuh violence but police did not converted the complain into FIR after finding that the victim succumbed to the injuries sustained in an accident.
