On January 10, 24, at 4 pm, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar will announce his decision on the disqualification of Shiv Sena MLAs.

Legislature officials mentioned that separate orders will be issued for six groups of petitions. The Speaker will read out the operative part from these six segments.

This decision, scheduled for Wednesday, follows a meeting held three days ago between Rahul Narwekar, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Narwekar had chosen to categorize the 34 petitions into six groups, with four related to Sena (UBT) and two linked to Eknath Shinde-led Sena.

Having reviewed records totaling 2.5 lakh pages from both sides, legislature officials anticipate the order to exceed 150 pages.

Before the final announcement, Narwekar is reportedly consulting solicitor general Tushar Mehta to fine-tune and ensure that the order is error-free and complies with the Supreme Court’s directives.
